Our scrapbooking retreats were developed as an answer to prayer, as we asked the Lord to open up opportunities for more outreach ministry.  Sometimes women won’t come to a retreat at a church, but they will attend a girlfriend getaway for the weekend. Throughout the three-day-weekend, Becky is available to encourage and pray with women. She teaches spiritual breakout sessions (ie. Quiet time with the Lord; How to pray/What is prayer?; Why read the Bible?; Obedience, etc.) and leads a time of worship and praise on Sunday morning. Not only do the women take home completed scrapbooks, but they often return home with a new-found relationship with Jesus! Jesus is the One who heals their broken hearts. He is the One who draws them to Himself.

God at work…“I decided to come to this scrapbooking retreat because I was starting to get into this ‘God-stuff.’ I’ve been going through a difficult time and been crying out to God, but something has been missing. I haven’t been connecting with God. Now I know what was missing. I’ve been trying to live life alone. I’ve needed Jesus in my life. Thanks for praying with me to receive Him as my Savior!”

God at work…“I have been attending church all my life and have gone to several Bible studies, but I had never asked Jesus to come into my life. When you shared Revelations 3:20, I realized for the first time that Jesus had been knocking on my heart’s door for years, but I never opened the door for Him to come in. Now I know He lives in my heart!”

Picture women of all ages, moms & daughters, sisters, and long-time friends scrapbooking and playing the game of Survivor, running the Amazing Race, or wearing their pjs all weekend. Not only do the theme-related games keep them laughing but the women are motivated to complete many special scrapbook pages.  The door prizes are a good incentive, too.
