Follow Hard Ministries is an outreach ministry that equips and encourages women to know Jesus Christ personally and live for Him wholeheartedly.
We have a desire to see women fall in love with the Lord (Mark 12:30) and to love one another (Mark 12:31).
At our Cedar Creek location in the beautiful rolling hills of Winterset, Iowa, we lead and/or host various women's retreats year-round. When women gather here they are recharged, refreshed, renewed and God is at the center of it all.
The Holy Bible is the inspired Word of God and His Gospel-centered love letter to us. It is the Truth-filled guide through which we live, love, encourage and teach at FHM. As we dig deeper into His message for each of us, God shows us how to bring glory to His name and where to FOLLOW Him. Thy word is a lamp unto my feet and a light to my path (Psalm 119:105).
Every person has value and we rejoice in how each is uniquely and authentically created by God. Women are welcomed here, no matter where they are on their faith journey with Jesus. We look forward to showing all people the love of God and to build them up in Christ as we point them to Jesus (Romans 12:10).
The true bottom line in life is to glorify God in all that we do and say. For from Him and through Him and to Him are all things. To Him be the glory forever. Amen (Rom. 11:36). There is hope in Jesus Christ through His amazing grace (John 3:16)! Jesus calls us to abandon ourselves to Him and follow Him wholeheartedly with our whole being (Mark 12:30/Psalm 63:8).
Our focus is not on how we are serving the Lord, but instead on the Lord that we serve (John 3:30). FHM will exercise responsible wisdom as stewards over all that God has entrusted us. We will make every effort to conduct business and engage in relationships with integrity, honesty, excellence and a heart like His.
In 2004, Follow Hard Ministries was established as a non-denominational full-time 501(c)3 ministry. In earlier years, FHM was primarily a traveling/teaching ministry. In 2015, FHM purchased Cedar Creek to provide a space where women would engage with God personally and follow where He leads them. Our focus is on facilitating retreats which disciple and encourage women to have a personal relationship with Jesus and a deeper relationship with Him. At Cedar Creek we host a variety of events for women such as: women’s retreats, girlfriend getaways, pastors’ wives retreats, scrapbooking/quilting/crafting retreats, special events and corporate retreats, banquets, one-day events and many more custom Christian events.
We have seen God work in the lives of women in ways that only the amazing God of the universe can! The FHM staff at Cedar Creek have witnessed the power of the Gospel, God’s grace and the love of our Almighty Father. Having had a front row seat to what God is doing here at Cedar Creek, we know He has big plans for this ministry. Up until now, events have been hosted out of the large home on the property. We are excited and blessed to be putting a pencil to the dreams God has laid on our hearts to expand our facilities space and overnight guest capacity. The quaint barn on the property just screams women’s retreat! We look forward to it’s repurposing and transformation.
