Craft Retreats

Cedar Creek is your crafting home away from home! Escape from the daily grind to work on craft projects, catch up with friends and make some new ones, maybe even rest a little and be encouraged in your faith. Once you’ve come to one of our retreats you are officially part of the Cedar Creek Creative Chicks family. We hope you join us…it will be unlike any other scrapbook retreat you have attended.

What to Expect: THE Craft RETREAT EXPERIENCE

  • REAL CONVERSATIONS

    …Our retreat size is smaller (9-12 women) so that you can get to know each other better while you are crafting. Most Craft Retreats run from Friday through Sunday and it is amazing how well you get to know each other in that time! We welcome you to book extra days as well.

  • FUN

    …We might nudge you a little outside your comfort zone but how often do you get an opportunity to laugh it up with your girls?! It helps to get away from your crafting space a few times so that you can be refreshed and full of energy to get back at it.

  • SPACE (literally and metaphorically)

    …Each crafter has her own 6’ table and extra lights. The Serta executive ergonomic padded chairs are SO comfortable! You will share lodging rooms but they are spacious and have nice big bathrooms. Feel free to crash on the couch or enjoy conversations in one of the two living room spaces. Pull up a peaceful spot in front of one of the three gas fireplaces. Grab your coffee and sit out on the deck to watch the deer. Explore God’s beautiful creation on your hike around the pond. Kick back in your Adirondack chair and take in the moments of a sunset or bon fire. You will find plenty of space to be still and listen to what God puts on your heart— without the hindrance of every day life and all the demands placed on your shoulders as a woman, wife, mom, employee, etc.

  • PAMPERING

    …Our staff enjoys spoiling you with delicious meals cooked on-site and served with love. You will be encouraged, included, listened to, prayed for and cheered on. And you just might find some delightful surprises throughout your stay.

  • all the crafting

    …We have hosted scrapbookers, painters, quilters, art quilters, Bible Journalers, knitters, authors and graphic artists. Some attend the themed crafting retreats that we host. Others book their own crafting retreat and specially design the weekend with our staff. We do have some limited scrapbook supplies, a free scrapbook exchange table, padded felt walls for the quilting groups, and an iron & ironing board. There is plenty of room around the facility for layouts.
